Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

Accomplish business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, implementing sales plans and managing staff;

Achieve marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change;

Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions;

Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing price strategies; recommending selling prices; and monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand;

Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising and trade promotion programs; and developing field sales action plans;

Identify market opportunities by identifying customer requirements; defining market, competitors share and competitors strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; and establishing targeted market share;

Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; and coordinating new product development;

Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; and anticipating new opportunities;

Provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends;

Accomplish marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed

Key Experiences essential to this role:

Selling products not services preferred

Digital Market - effectively produce low budget /high quality campaigns

Strength in Finance / financial aptitude

Analytical - able to dig into creative data to identify trends etc.

Experience building a team and or dept. from scratch


Strong analytical skills - pulling intel from data

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in product marketing and familiarity with various kinds of marketing tools

Adaptability and proven ability to build a team from scratch

Direct experience marketing/selling tangible products

Ability to work autonomously and manage own time and pressure

Experience with distributors/retailers or in the power tool industry is an asset.

University or higher degree in business or marketing preferred

Proficiency in computers (including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
